The “Clinal” Working Group (led by Thomas Flatt and Martin Kapun) brings together all DrosEU participants interested in clinal (and other forms of spatial) differentiation and temporal (seasonal) variation among populations, with a particular focus on identifying and characterizing genomic signatures of adaptation. A related emphasis is on studying adaptive clines for chromosomal inversion polymorphisms. The overarching aim of this WG is thus to gain a better understanding of spatially and/or temporally varying selection and its genomic targets.
