Research interests:

We are interested in the role of ‘arms race’ evolutionary conflict in driving molecular evolution. As a model, we study the evolutionary genetics of RNA- interference pathways and nucleic-acid parasites, such as viruses and transposable elements. We use Drosophila and other invertebrates as a model system.

Research organisms:

Drosophilidae, viruses.

Expertise:

Sequence evolution

Population genetics

Phylogenetics

Metagenomics
