Research interests:

Our research aims at understanding how the brain controls sleep-wake rhythms. We investigate the molecular machinery that is running in the clock, the functioning of the clock neuron network, the translation of the circadian information into sleep-wake behavior, and the adaptation of this behavior to the daily and seasonal changes of the environment.

Research organisms:

Drosophila melanogaster.

Expertise:

Analysis of sleep-wake behavior, molecular genetics, anatomical and functional brain imaging.
