Transposable Elements Working Group
The Transposable Elements Working Group (led by Cristina Vieira and Josefa González) is interested in a broad range of topics ranging from TE dynamics to the role of TEs in adaptation, TE horizontal transfer, the relationship between genome size and TE content, and the genetic diversity in genes related to TE control mechanisms, among others. Our aim is to better understand the role and the impact of TEs in genome structure, genome function and genome evolution.
