Principal Investigator
Research interests:
We study the genetic basis of phenotypic and adaptive traits, using a combination of computational and experimental approaches in both model and non-model systems. We are interested at understanding the mechanisms underlying the evolution of invading pest insects and insects of agricultural and medical importance.
Research organisms:
Drosophila suzukii, Bactrocera spp., Glossina spp.
Expertise:
Population genetics approaches at single locus and genome-wide level. Analysis of rate of molecular evolution and selective pressure. Multi-species orthologues identification and analysis, comparative genomics (including GO analyses).
