Research interests:

We study the evolutionary ecology of insect immunity, where we aim to understand insect defences in the light of host resistance and tolerance to pathogens. We are also interested in persistent infections, infection dynamics, bacterial priming and getting closer to nature.

Research organisms:

Drosophila melanogaster, different bacterial pathogen species

Expertise:

Septic and oral bacterial infection methods, bacterial load assays, qRT-PCR
