Research interests:

We study the genetic basis for how populations adapt to rapid changes in the environment. We utilize Drosophila and Daphnia as model systems to study adaptation over seasonal time scales to changes in aspects of the biotic and abiotic environment. We utilize tools ranging from molecular genetics to population genomics to field ecology to address these topics.

Research organisms:

Drosophila melanogaster; Daphnia pulex.

Expertise:

Molecular and quantitative genetics using Drosophila; population genomics using model and non-model species.
